These
were boards for a busy, young family who just purchased their first home in a
mid-size city in North Carolina. It was an ecclectic mix of two tastes, family
pieces, inexpensive mass-produced objects and some custom pieces. I tried to keep
all sources for this project as local as possible, and they ranged from the local
ferrier (custom ironwork for a side table) to the local Pier One.
The
aim was to provide a comfortable, child-friendly environment that allowed for
a serene quiet at the end of a hectic day.
