This
is a tough, complex play centered around a young hispanic woman living
in New York. It requires several locales: an office, two apartments,
the subway, and in act two, post-apocolyptic chaos. Sidewalk cement
and plumbing pipes gave me my visual metaphors: the deck pivoted up
in Act One to create a box, and the pipe ceiling pivoted down in Act
Two to create a contemporary jungle. Technical direction by Michael
O'Connell.
